Easy Matcha Latte


I discovered matcha during quarantine, and since then, I have become OBSESSED, to say the least. In case you don’t know what matcha is, matcha is the powder of finely ground green tea leaves. It is SO good for you. Matcha aids the digestive system, boosts metabolism, is full of antioxidants, and has caffeine to give you an energy boost! With the delicious, earthy flavor that matcha has and with the tons of health benefits that come along with it, how could I not be obsessed. After experimenting with tons and tons of different recipes, I put together this super simple, easy, and delicious one that is wonderful for a beginner matcha-lover!


 

Recipe Ingredients

  • One cup of milk of choice (Almond milk is my favorite, but any kind works!)

  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder

  • 1-2 teaspoons of honey

Directions Mix matcha powder with a bit of water (I use my matcha whisk, but a fork or regular whisk would do) and once mixed, pour the milk into the paste. Add honey & stir and enjoy! I prefer to actually pour everything into a little blender and use that to mix everything together because it mixes in the honey a little better and foam forms on top that I find extra yummy! *good served on ice or warm!
